Welcome to the online home of the South Florida Final Cut Pro Users Group. This user group serves as a resource to the South Florida area Final Cut Pro filmmakers community, providing information and training, discounts, and networking for its members.

Membership is FREE. Become an official member of the group by joining the Google Group mailing list. Our mailing list is not sold to anyone. Discussion can be lively at times, so if you prefer less email, please select the digest or no email options.

We usually meet on the last Thursday of each month unless otherwise specified. Venues and times change, so take note of where and when the meeting will be held. We hold our meetings in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area.

Location: The American tower is located at:
                390 NW 210th Street Miami Gardens.

Directions:
The tower is south of County Line Road, located within Miami Dade County.
AT County line road and 441/SR-7 turn west at the Mobil station,
go less than ½ mile to the first traffic light,
make a left at the light…..
head south make the second left onto 210th,
take that to it’s end at the tower entrance gate.

The directions to the tower are as follows:

Exit I-95 Ives Dairy or Pembroke Rd
West to 441 aka State Road 7.
Travel north or south to County Line Rd
Travel west on County Line Rd to NW 7th Street and make a left
I believe the next intersection is 210th make a left to its end at the tower gate on the right.
It will probably be open, if not call on the intercom!!!!!

December Meeting
This month we are having a joint meeting for the first time with our friends from the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

They will having a lunch for all of us, along with Sennheiser Speaker:Chris Phillips, Market Development Manager

The discussion will focus on the use of professional secondary wireless devices such as wireless microphones, intercom systems, and wireless monitors as regulated by the FCC in a post DTV transition environment. We will discuss the current and possible future regulations for these devices operating above 698 MHz as well as the resolution on 'White Space' devices or TVBDs. We will also review the new Sennheiser 2000 series ENG wireless system.

FCPUG Network

South Florida Final Cut Pro Users Group is a member of the Final Cut Pro User Group Network, a worldwide community of Final Cut Pro and digital video user groups officially recognized by Apple. Their mission is to build connections between Final Cut Pro users, filmmakers and professionals who wish to lead the DV revolution. The FCPUG Network provides both advocacy and education about digital video on the Macintosh, and membership opportunities for learning and growth in digital storytelling.
